2018 impact Recap
Impact Fashion brings together innovative companies and dedicated individuals through inspirational events and actionable projects to create a fashion industry that is safe for people, animals, and our planet.
In the past we have focused on annual goals from supporting marginalized women in the Congo to raising over $31,000 to fight human trafficking.
We bring a uniquely positive, solutions-oriented approach to the many challenges in the fashion industry, from workers rights to animal welfare to environmental preservation, and this year we continue to expand under our new name: Impact Fashion Show.
Fashion is polluting our waterways, our bodies, and our landfills. We focus on showcasing small batch productions, non-toxic dyes, and organic fibers.
97% of fashion production today is outsourced to third world countries to cut costs. As a result, fashion has become one of the biggest drivers of modern slavery across the globe. Our 2018 event showcased brands that take a stand against exploitation and support and uplift marginalized people in 11 different countries – including our own.
Animals suffer greatly and unnecessarily for fashion. The Impact Fashion Show includes an entirely vegan collection – no leather, wool, silk, bone, or other part of any living being.
